Michelle Pendergrass

Editor-in-ChiefDiner
Story Editor, Second Edition

Michelle Pendergrass loves living in the Boondocks (which also happens to be her favorite song!) with her husband and son, Phil and Zane. They watch Food Network, The Real Housewives, and NCIS,  and for them, there's nowhere better to be than home. Michelle has made pizzas, put paste on billboard signs, waitressed at truck stops as well as high class steakhouses, and she has also led a Convoy (another favorite song!) across the bottom of Texas when she and Phil drove their semi across this great nation. Now she homeschools, messes in mixed media art, prays visually, and sometimes she writes horror stories.

 Robert Garbacz

Assistant Editor, Third Edition
Story Editor--Second Edition
Diner Alumni--First Edition

Robert Garbacz, when in his natural habitat, can frequently be seen arguing theology, politics, and art over ale with often excessive volume, haranguing his friends repeatedly with obscure but fascinating facts about Medieval literature, or staring cloyingly into the eyes of his beloved wife Hannah. Unfortunately, his natural habitat is Oxford in the period from 1930-1950. This is a bit awkward for someone born in Tulsa in 1983, but he is studying towards his Doctoral at the University of Texas in Austin and feels this is a firm step in the proper direction. His short story, "The Salvation of Sancho," appeared in the previous Diner anthology, inducting him into this peculiar world of horror, bloodshed, and merciless ravagement of grammatical missteps

Chris Mikesell

Contributing Editor, Third Edition
Diner Alumni, Second Edition
Editor's Choice, First Edition

If you were to take a dictionary and highlight all the words in it that pertain to Chris Mikesell, you would wind up with a hefty fine for defacing library reference materials. You would also probably be left with plenty of ink in your Hi-Liter. Chris lives in suburban Dallas with his wife (Dina), his son (Philip), and his regrets (a few, but then again, too few to mention) and teaches Sophomore English (think you're smarter than a 10th Grader? Visit his class website at mikesell128.blogspot.com). His fiction has appeared in DKA (now Mindflights), Ray Gun Revival, and the previous editions of Coach's Midnight Diner. He has no interest in cliff diving, but has no objection to living vicariously through the lives of his characters.

Virginia Hernandez is not having much luck finding time to write because life with her husband and three terrific kids keeps getting in the way. However, she is officially interested in the multiple world theory and hopes this existence is the one where her novels get published.
